Overview.

Waste represents a substantial portion of your annual budget. Garbage contracts frequently impose additional fees like fuel and environmental charges, and often contain rollover clauses that continue indefinitely. We impartially review these expenses based upon professional experience and baseline costs of waste and value of recyclables in your area. Those findings and additional information are combined with data gathered from an on-site waste audit, where the entire operation’s trash and recycling materials are put aside for a typical day or more to obtain an accurate category-by-category measurement which we use to calculate annual estimates.

Our customized reports detail expenses of your waste stream, quantify the amounts and types of waste and recycling materials generated, identify ways to reduce waste, enhance recycling efforts and determine potential cost savings and/or revenue available through hauler contract renegotiation and the sale of recyclable materials. Finally, the data is reported in the annually-required Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks Waste Audit and Waste Reduction Work Plan forms that help set the guidelines for your year ahead. It’s a dirty business, but somebody has got to do it, and we do it right.
